The Matomi Wash is a famous wash south of San Felipe in Baja Mexico.
Get ready for lots of deep sand and a few rocky sections.
This section has been raced in the Baja 1000 many times over and they call it "The best of Baja", more recently they have only been running the eastern section of the wash.
Depending on which way you do this route you will either start or finish with 70kms of highway.
Make sure you have plenty of fuel, water and food and expect to make a full day out of this adventure.
There is no cell coverage out this way so make sure to have a satellite communication system and let someone know your plans.
