This is a great "off the beaten track" route, not far from downtown Moab.
Head West out Moab on HWY 191, and turn onto Rte 313, just past the Gemini Bridges Campground at the Moab Giants Dinosaur Museum. The route starts there.
This route is a combination of a couple of 4-wheel drive routes, that include Deadman Springs, and a portion of Backway to Secret Spire. A nice mix of sand and rock with some massive views.
Head out and do Deadman Springs first (small loop to the West), then circle back to the trailhead for Backway to Secret Spire.
