First ride after dropping the gear oil. Now I am allowed to lug the bike and explore what I bought it for - riding hard trails, jugging the engine, and never touching the ground (well, that's the goal).

So, the TM. What's it like? Powerful. It lugs extremely well, and keeps its composure like my X-Trainer, but that is where the X-Trainer comparisons abruptly end. The suspension is top shelf, front and rear, and the engine will make your pupils turn into dinner plates if you twist the fun switch with even moderate zeal. Quick frankly, it is a monster. Way more bike than I need. I will never be able to spank this bike.

In my mind, a TM is like a Ferrari. Both are hand made in Italy, both cost more than their more reasonable counterparts, and both are crazy things to rip around in. At nearly $20k out the door with some mods and some spare tires, it's a hell of a lot less than a Ferrari, and in my mind, way cooler.
