“Get Lost… Find Yourself” event weekend!

After arriving at the Windy Waters campground, the location of the event, Thursday evening was spent relaxing around the fire. A couple of beers, and made some new friends. Friday we got up, had some breakfast, and after relaxing for a while decided to go for a ride. Myself, new friends Aaron and Matt (tall man Moto on YouTube) decided to go check out the Hudson caves. The caves themselves were stunning. Carved by a river through limestone the river seemingly just disappears into the side of a cliff. Saturday morning was a pancake breakfast for everyone. The general seating area was great as everyone sat and ate together, met new people and shared stories. Myself and a group of 5 others decided to head to port Alice for a ride. We followed logging roads, some more well kept then others. The weaved up and over mountains, around lakes, most of the riding was fairly easy. Short of a few sections of loose gravel and some looser rocky uphills. Sunday morning was pack up day. We said our goodbyes, and all headed our own directions home. I’ve gotta few days travel ahead of me yet, but that will be a paved ride to make time. It was a great weekend, funds were raised for a great cause, and I look forward to doing it again!
