McLean Creek is Always Wet

Luke on his KLR650 and Daniel on his VStrom 800 - Some great flowy trails, interrupted by massive, horrible muck puddles. As is usually the case at McLean creek. We briefly tried some dirtbike track but it quickly got into difficulty 4++ so we stuck mostly to truck trail. Daniel is very new to off road riding, but he's a great rider. I ended up having the biggest incident of the day.
I dropped the Twin in a huge muck puddle. I got very, very stuck. and I was very worried about water getting into the right air filter. Luckily, it started right up and it doesn't feel like anything was damaged. The oil doesn't look milky. I still need to open it up and check the air filter but that's for another day. The throttle also stopped returning on its own (free, scary cruise control!) I think because it's packed full of grit. Need to disassemble that too.
Great ride, found a few more trails to try out that will hopefully be passable on the Africa Twin without too much mud bogging.
