Adventure Details
The Vancouver Island Grand Loop was created back in 2016 as a route for beginner to intermediate riders on big bikes who were looking for a 1 week adventure exploring some of the best dirt and paved motorcycle routes on Vancouver Island. The entire route is 1,700km long and is about 50% dirt/gravel and 50% paved. The route starts in Victoria and makes its way right up to Port Hardy and Cape Scott Provincial Park, and then back down to finish in Victoria. More information about the route, and detailed information for each stage of the route are available at https://www.VancouverIslandGrandLoop.com

Suitable Moto Types
Smaller bikes will likely get bored on the longer stretches of paved roads. Bigger bikes are perfect for this route, however a new rider on a fully loaded 1200GSA with a passenger might find a few sections challenging (ditch the passenger, and you'll be fine).
